Wu Qian, winner of the 2016 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award and named The Independent’s Bright Young Star in 2007, has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician.

Her musical journey has taken her to collaborations with orchestras including the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, Netherlands Philharmonic, Brussels Philharmonic, and Frankfurt Radio Symphony, performing in venues such as Wigmore Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.

As an alumna of The Bowers Program at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, she finds particular joy in chamber music and is a founding member of the Sitkovetsky Piano Trio, whose recordings have received critical praise and several awards, including BBC Music Magazine’s Chamber Recording of the Year 2022 for their interpretation of Ravel and Saint-Saëns piano trios. Beyond performing, Wu Qian is co-founder and Artistic Director of the Surrey Hills International Festival in the UK, a vibrant cultural event that has brought music to the community for over 15 years.

Her debut recording, featuring works by Schumann, Liszt, and Alexander Prior, was well-received by critics, and she continues to tour across Europe, Asia, and North America.
